On Ice
There was heavy snow on the trail which made it a bit tough getting through it but when I got to the lake, it was too worth it. Of course I wanted to get on the ice but the common thought of the ice possibly breaking and falling into ice cold water and the chances of dying definitely crossed my mind but shit.. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be standing in the middle of this giant beautiful frozen lake. The fear was definitely with me every step I took, along with sounds of cracks and bubbles being released from under the ice but I continued with caution. When I finally shuffled my way to the middle, I just stood there for while just soaking in view. It was completely empty, silent, breath taking.. Surreal.
